Welcome to ooolook photography, I’m Jill! Thank you for your interest in a holiday mini photography session with me and I look forward to getting to know your family.

My goal with a holiday mini session is to show the fun dynamic of each individual family I work with. My approach is organic and lifestyle. I want you to be yourselves, but I also offer extra direction to capture that perfect family portrait when needed. I use natural lighting whenever possible, and have selected great locations for my holiday mini sessions that are ready to highlight your family.

Booking and Payment

Holiday mini photo sessions only occur on the designated dates I have scheduled. I offer a limited number of time slots for these special outdoor sessions in order to provide the best possible natural lighting. I do understand the weather is unpredictable and therefore will discuss what my weather make up day would be with you. This would only take effect if rain or an extreme weather event occurs. Please make yourself available for both dates as I do not offer other make up days for holiday mini sessions, thank you!

Half the cost of the photography session is due when scheduling the session and reserves your time slot. I will also have you sign my standard contract and model release when booking. The remaining balance is due prior to receiving any digital files from the session. Payments can be made through my website.

You are purchasing edited and stylized digital files of your images only. 10 (ten) images are included with my holiday mini session package. I will provide you with high and low resolution JPG files of the images you select from your session as a digital download. A gallery upgrade is available to purchase if you’d like to receive all of the images in your gallery. You are obtaining digital files for personal use only, and may not sell prints.

Albums or prints can be purchased separately from within your online session gallery.

If for any reason you need to cancel your session please let me know at least 24 hours in advance. All deposits are nonrefundable. Due to the limited number of holiday sessions I offer, I cannot guarantee a rebooking.

At the Session

Once we've arrived at the location, I will spend a few minutes getting to know you and your family a bit more before starting the shoot. This helps everyone, especially children, feel more at ease.

It is extremely important to arrive to your session at least 15 minutes early. My mini sessions are on a very tight schedule and I want to make sure I get the full 30 minutes with your family!

Your wardrobe should feel comfortable. Test out your outfit beforehand, and make sure it won’t lead to any tugging or pulling on while you move around during the session. Confidence is key when it comes to photo sessions, so it’s not the best time to try something completely new to you. Go for what you know, so that you’re not worried about how you look the entire session. If wearing a dress or skirt, keep in mind some poses will be seated so please make sure you’ll be comfortable and able to sit. Wear location-appropriate items. There will be light to moderate walking so comfy shoes always help. No shirts with large graphics or logos on the front.

Please avoid bringing anything more than you absolutely need during your session. I am happy to hold keys and phones or other small items to keep pockets empty in your photographs. No sunglasses; they get in the way and risk being damaged if we’re trying to store them. I understand with little ones a diaper bag or a small snack is needed, but please try to limit it to the bare necessities; I want you to be free of items so I can get the best photographs of your family.

After Your Session

Within three weeks you will receive an email from me containing a link to a private online gallery of the photographs from your session. It will also provide the final payment information. After receiving final payment, you will be able to download the 10 (ten) edited and stylized high resolution (200ppi) and web-optimized digital JPG files from your gallery.

Additional albums or prints can be purchased separately from within your online gallery.

I keep my edits minimal and do minor retouching and processing of photos in Adobe's Lightroom and Photoshop programs. This includes removing minor blemishes, doing color correction and minor skin smoothing, and adjusting clarity and vibrance. You may request additional retouching on your photos for a fee based on the work required.
