Jill Cannon loved photography from a young age. Snapping polaroid photos at family functions and around her small hometown in Northern Michigan fueled a vision and ultimately gave birth to her philosophy that little details in everyday life are beautiful. Capturing special moments and having the ability to permanently preserve them intrigued her, and her passion has only grown over time. 

Jill has always possessed the ability to express her creative mind through many media. She studied graphic design and earned a bachelor's degree at Ferris State University. This allowed her additional tools, bolstering her creative capacity to make functionally elegant designs while still incorporating her love of photography in her work. 

Her subject matter changed over the years in sync with significant milestones, such as marrying the love of her life and moving west to Los Angeles. Almost a decade later, her journey evolved into one of motherhood with the birth of a beautiful daughter and then four years later her family grew even bigger with her second daughter. Nowadays, Jill hopes for sleep, drinks far too much caffeine, and has an even stronger desire to capture the joy in the people she meets.

She loves relaxed, natural, and unposed shots most… the ones that happen organically. She tries not to over-direct a session but knows when to offer guidance. Her goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, putting you at ease to be yourself during your photo session.
